Hi List. Thanks for letting me post some things that are seriously off topic. The issue of using php/(b2evolution) to handle sending emails -- using an smtp server. Testing against smtp.yahoo.com with the required SSL/port. Never could get it to quite work. However, when using gmail's smtp server, and the same setup, everything appears to work. The basic process, set up the smtp address use SSL/465 (i believe) use the required username/passwd for the acct setup the security to allow "relaxed" 3rd party usage do a test to have valid server connection, as well as valid email through the smtp.. and you should be ok..
