Fedora 28.
I was forced to use KDE as opposed to GNOME due to other issues (see
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1585491) and I've had the following issue more often
than not.
Once a user logs out of KDE it might take a while (sometimes forever) to get a new KDE login window.
Other times I try a reboot from the console and it tells me there are still users logged in.
There are 3 people using the PC at home, and except me the other 2 are simply browsing the web.
I (try to) login in the evening and often have to reboot the machine.
This has been a complete reinstall from Fedora 27 and users folders have been wiped clean.
I am using sddm as login manager.
GDM is far superior, but its integration with KDE was poor.
Overall I can't wait to get Fedora 29 where I hope GNOME will work properly.
Below is the output of ps after the user jackie has logged out from KDE.
I see a lot of stuff still hanging there.
Is this what causes KDE not to present a new login window? or to prevent quick shutdown?
