If it's a one-time, IMO don't bother w/ technical details and thinking
of what has been said about incremental methods, do it simple and use
the method you do know, whatever it's cp, rsync or dd. Start it and
watch, the time wasted in learning more or hesitating won't save you
any minute during this one-time copy, speed/time is not your concern
here.
