The interface can then get a 192.168.1.X address from a router on the network. 2 caveats. 1. You won't be able to make a connection between the host and the guest. virt-manager warns you about this. 2. If you're using IPV6 you'll need to set the macvtap interface on the host to promiscuous. -- Conjecture is just a conclusion based on incomplete information. It isn't a fact.
