I've installed kernel-4.17.7 (F27 on TP X230i) and my suspend issue is not solved.
Display goes blank but system is still running.
What makes me extremely wonder:

The problem does not show up on my identicaly configured TP X121e.

I am still traveling.  I may install the new kernel this evening, or wait until tomorrow.

The weekend up in the cottage with my daughter and son-in-law, 100KM north of Montreal had really no connectivity.  Even had to turn email to offline, it was so painful (really bad 3G service).  Great time, but NOT on the computer!

Will update things when I am able to update!
