I have seen this for some time (perhaps since install) on F28. I
suspend to ram and the system seems to suspend then immediately
restarts by itself. I unlock and suspend again and this 2nd attempt
'takes'.
Are any BIOS "wake up" triggers set that might be triggering this?
None. This is new with F28. This specific notebook (Lenovo x120e) last
had F22 installed.
I've a similiar problem with 4.17.x kernels on my TP X230i with F27 inslalled.
With the 4.16.x kernels suspend works perfect but with the 4.17.x kernels
this has stopped working. Screen is blanked but the system does not suspend.
No problem with TP X121e under F27 and 4.17.x kernels.
I switched back to 4.17.3 Monday morning after the suspend in my room
locked up on my way down to the morning sessions. I right away had the
double suspend behaviour that morning, then multiple suspends all day
without any lockups or any more double suspends.
So now I wait for the next kernel to see what goodies it brings forth.
