I added some entries to this thread and the BZ. /usr/bin/wodim -v gracetime=2 dev=/dev/sr0 speed=4 -tao driveropts=burnfree blank=fast fails to run as a normal user. One can workaround the issue if you add suid to the binary. I think the BZ should be reassigned to wodim -- Conjecture is just a conclusion based on incomplete information. It isn't a fact.
