Package dependency paradox with package 'tuned'

I am using CentOS with a PREEMPT Kernel. I ran an update and
encountered the following error:

###
--> Running transaction check
---> Package device-mapper-multipath-libs.x86_64 0:0.4.9-119.el7 will
be installed

               tuned = 2.8.0-5.el7
###

My interpretation is that the 'tuned-profiles-realtime' requires
'tuned' version '2.8.0', but version '2.9.0-1.el7' is currently
installed? Should I force installation of 'tuned' version '2.8.0', or
what would be a sensible solution to this problem?

Thank you in advance,

-E
