Hi, I am confused about the way the kernel packages land in Fedora, specifically Rawhide, and was wondering if someone could shed some light on this issue.
See https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/kernel
Looking at [1], I see that the kernel in the updates repo is 4.17.rc. How is that possible? What is the source for 4.17? A build of linux-next? (Looking at [2] we see that 4.16 has just been released this week.) So what is 4.17.rc?
As mentioned in the above page, rawhide gets regular mainline builds and currently the upstream kernel is a release candidate (RC) of 4.17.
