BTW, in one of your posts you asked about a "workaround". I think what you meant was an alternative to MTP? If so, you could always install an sftp client on the Android device and transfer files that way. I happen to have a NAS with its own utilities for transferring files over WiFi so I don't have to deal with cables. Slower? Sure. But convenient. :-) -- Conjecture is just a conclusion based on incomplete information. It isn't a fact.
