I would like to eliminate all [or change some] colors when I list files with xfce4-terminal.
maybe alias this ?
ls --color=never "Using color to distinguish file types is disabled both by default and with --color=never. With --color=auto, ls emits color codes only when standard output is connected to a terminal. The LS_COLORS environment variable can change the settings. Use the dircolors command to set it."
That eliminates color but displays only directories and in my case three .csv files?
However "export LS_COLORS=none" does seem to do what I want, white text only.
My color perception is impaired and I have a lot of difficulty with anything but white text although I do manage if necessary.
