My understanding is that I did not install the driver for the camera
during the installation.
How can I do it now?

There is no such thing as "installable drivers" in Linux. There's an occasional OEM whose hardware does not have a working kernel driver, and they supply a module for a specific kernel version. They're generally laughed at, because they don't really understand how Linux works.
