AFAIK pm-utils, which includes pm-suspend, is deprecated.

Yeah I also had tried pm-suspend.. to no avail. It literally did nothing for me.
Hopeful someone smarter than I can take a look at the log I pasted earlier and provide a glimmer into what my issue might be
