Which chipset will work for a usb wifi dongle without having to go
through the rigmarole of finding proprietary drivers and firmware?
The odds are good that any random dongle will work OK. Things
have gotten a lot better than they used to be. But a specific
answer to your question is almost impossible because the
folks that make these dongles switch chip sets practically
every week depending on what is cheaper that day :-(. So even
a specific brand and model number won't have the same
chipset in each.

At least there are some really cheap ones out there. Be prepared
to buy another if the first doesn't work.
Could you or someone list some chipsets (even legacy ones)
that are very likely fully supported by f27 distribution iso
right out of the box.\

Thanx.
