This has just started happening: I'll play a youtube video in google-chrome and get no audio. I'll start poking around and eventually run gnome-control-center sound As soon as the sound control panel pops up, audio will start playing in youtube. So which component here is failing to activate something to make audio work? Anyone else seeing this? I've got an nvidia card and the audio should be coming from the HDMI output.
