My Kodi, when VDPAU is disabled(in settings) ornot available in OS, does not use VAAPI. My fedora runs of a AMD APU A10 PRO-7800B R7 and since 4.12.x I have noVDPAU. VLC for example, seems to be using VAAPI just fine, VLC's debug and lowCPU usage confirms that VAAPI is there, yet Kodi fails to use it.

Can you tell how is your Kodi handling VAAPIon your system, ideally if you touse same family of AMD APUs?

many thanks, L.
