I don't use yumex. So, assuming you're taking about yumex-dnf I installed it and
attempted to use it in a VM which had not been updated in a while so I knew it would
have pending updates.

Yes....
FWIW, I was able to update 3 dnf packages thinking that may fix it....but it didn't....
