I my case, I could not login by ssh. The machine was unreachable. In the journal, however, I do not see anything related to nouveau. I can see many many many of lines such as: kernel: usb 1-1.4: new high-speed USB device number 63 using xhci_hcd with different numbers. I suppose this is because I was writing a lot of data (video) to a USB3 hard disk at that time.
