tried VMware Wkst. 12.5.6, also 12.5.7 ... no change ...even the hack to get the additional virtual network interfaces, nothing helped ...
maybe the next release of VMware Wkst. 12.5.8 will run ...as VMware Wkst. is essential for me, there is no way having Linux instead of Windows; the decision to try it with Fedora is the feature of inplace upgrade and keep it up-to-date ...
I'll keep my old windows running as log as the hardware is working ...
