Please stop these attacks. If these decisions are bothering you that much, then use a different distribution, but good luck finding one that isn't following these "idiotic decisions". Maybe you should use one of the BSDs instead. In my opinion, journald and systemd are great improvements to the usability of Linux. I'm not quite up to 40 years of IT experience, but getting there. I understand that after a certain amount of time it can get more difficult to accept things changing, but that's the way it goes in IT.
