Everyone decides that for themselves. I have all the desktops installed. For a few Gigs of storage, and a little extra time updating, I have access to all the great applications that anyone creates. I read that there are people on the list with metered connections, it makes sense they pare their systems down to the bare minimum. If you are running on marginal hardware, with an extremely small hard drive, it makes sense to pare your system down to the bare minimum.
