Since vlc is packaged by RPMfusion and vlc has its own website and support page I would go http://www.videolan.org/support/ and ask them as they will probably have a more definitive answer. They even have their own mechanism for reporting bugs which, if it is a bug, would get faster results than putting a bugzilla in at RPMfusion and then just have them have to push it upstream. -- Fedora Users List - The place to go to speculate endlessly
