I did so. So unless the power supply is failing, I would think it's not a good candidate for the cause of the two problems. But you know what they say: "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans!". I did watch the youtube that Tim provided. I don't recall seeing screws on the underside of the motherboard. If you are not careful it will wipe your disk completely.
