I found this page that says the information is stored in sessionstore
files in the firefox profile directory.  Look at the section starting
with 'the backup'.

If that doesn't work, I would try to change that setting to show home
or show blank, shutdown firefox, and restart firefox, then change it
back to show tabs and windows.  I think that would clear it, and then
return to the default behavior.
