Yes I know that *but* can you explain: 1- Why sometimes anaconda refuses more than 3 partitions? 2- Why sometimes anaconda accepts more than 5 partitions? 3- How can we tell anaconda to create extended partitions? 5- How can we tell anaconda to create raid devices with extended partition using lvm? etc. My last attempt to install f25 was done creating /, /boot, /usr, /var, /home, /opt and swap partitions on RAID1 devices and *yes* anaconda accepted that *but* I can't log-in because all the passwords I gave are not recognized and I don't know why at this time, so I can't tell you what is the system configuration right now. I am wonderind now if fedora is still a serious operating system! I have been using fedora, after redhat 5, 6,..., for many years now and it is the first time I face so many problems (see my other posts): system does not stop (I filed a bug on bugzilla with no answer up to now), bugs in fonts system etc. And it takes me hours to install as anaconda crashes many times ("an unknown error occured" is the message after I wasted hours to make the partitions and launch the install!!) Really, I am fed up with this last fedora version! -- François Patte UFR de mathématiques et informatique Laboratoire CNRS MAP5, UMR 8145 Université Paris Descartes 45, rue des Saints Pères F-75270 Paris Cedex 06 Tél. +33 (0)1 8394 5849 http://www.math-info.univ-paris5.fr/~patte
