in order to keep track of what i've found so far, i created a wiki
page and trivially copied and pasted stuff related to agnc just so i
don't have to keep going back looking for stuff, and this is what i
have so far:

  http://www.crashcourse.ca/wiki/index.php/Agnc

i'm still willing to put in the time to get this working, partly since
this would be a good way to refresh my memory on working with and
salvaging old RPMs, and working with spec files and so on.

so ... where to go from here? i'm still interested in that alleged
java client, i have found no mention of it in my wanderings.
