It tries to create a system directory that is already there. while I don't remember what the workaround is, there is a (group of??) very long threads on the google earth forums about problems running GE on Linux, including some on how to deal with the various problems on Fedora (and, FYI, I've found the same fixes also work fine on Centos-7). I wish I could point you to the right place, but with some diligence you should be able to find it. good luck!
