does your case have USB3 connectors on the front? are they connected
to the MB? if so, does your device work with  them?


I've looked at the MSI web page for that board, and there is no indication
that the rear USB3 ports are in any way different (physically) than a
normal type-A port. Certainly, usb2 (and 1.1) devices SHOULD work with
a usb3 port.

as someone else suggested, you might check BIOS settings.
