Not necessarily. It does not follow that sound will go with the video.
In Windows it did not--don't know if in Win10 it does, and in Linux,
depends on the version of Pulse Audio and how lucky you are to find the
combination of many possibilities. (Works well in Mint 17.3 LTS. Could
not get it to work in latest version of PCLOS.)
I've never had a problem with HDMI sound in Fedora so far. I usually
have to go to the sound control panel and pick the HDMI output, but then
it works.
