After restarting from a suspend, some of my USB-connected devices (MP3 players, to be precise) no longer show up in the output from usb-devices (1). This a relatively new phenomena. Kernel is 4.8.13-100.fc23.x86_64. Previously, after a suspend I would have to reconnect the USB connection to have them visible, but that workaround is no longer effective. A re-boot works fine :-( Is there a way to restart whatever code is supposed to discover the USB?
