"ifconfig" will only show interfaces that are up. "ifconfig -a" will
show you all of them, up or down.

Try (as root):

	ifconfig wlp0s29f7u4 essid <YOUR-ESSID> key s:<YOUR-WIRELESS-PASSWORD>

and see if that gets it to go online.
