Not sure about a GUI screenshot program, but you can call gnome-screenshot from terminal and it has a flag to wait X number of seconds. This would let call it, open the menu, and just wait the second or two after the menu opens for the screenshot to happen.

Your signature says you have F25. If so, then you're on the wrong list.
