I'm pretty sure everyone that has commented so far is thinking of GTK
themes. GDM has become just a mode of Gnome Shell and I don't think
any of those GDM themes will work now. It might be possible to find a
Gnome Shell theme that would work, but I don't know.
Thanks guys, what Sam is saying about config files is what I have seen
on the net for changing the GDM login screen background (one of the
instructions was to replace a particular png file that is the grey
background, but I can't find the specified png file in the specified
location on my F24 system) specified config files to update but I can't
find the config files on my F24 system, hence the question of which
files in F24 need to be updated to change the theme.
