I can't see how 'portable' that would be either. You'd still need a pretty significant area of space to mount the tablets. Not to mention, typically, I use multiple monitors that are bigger for more desktop/console space and (since, according to my kids, I've been coding since the Earth was cooling) for magnifying certain items when my eyes are tired.
Personally, I'd never be in a position to require multiple workspaces that are portable. But, YMMV.

I generally don't use an external monitor simply because they're not
portable. A tablet or two though... :D
