Allegedly, on or about 18 July 2016, Mark Haney sent: > I'd install an ad-blocker just to prevent any ads since Browsers are making that harder, now. I used to use dead-zones in my DNS server to kill obnoxious adverts and tracking (e.g. all doubleclick traffic gets fatally killed). But Google is now proxying stuff its own browser does through its own servers, taking things out of my hands (and degrading my security and privacy with such a practice). They also removed some advert blocking addons from their store. I can see this kind of thing happening in other browsers, eventually. If advertisers weren't so bloody obnoxious, we wouldn't have to be blocking their adverts. They have only themselves to blame for being blocked. And it's inexcusable to shove your foot in someone's door when you've already been told to rack off. -- [tim@localhost ~]$ uname -rsvp Linux 3.9.10-100.fc17.x86_64 #1 SMP Sun Jul 14 01:31:27 UTC 2013 x86_64 Boilerplate: All mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted, there is no point trying to privately email me, I only get to see the messages posted to the mailing list.
