I installed Brasero, that works fine. It surprises me that this option was working some time ago, and it seems that this a cycling issue (poor control of nautilus package??)

    I understand that it is not new...my system is un updated system
    from F23 to F24...I will check another system

                menu called "Write to Disc..." which brings up the disc
            writing
                dialog.

        I do not have that option in Nautilus either.

I have always used the k3b GUI, 'Tools > Burn Image' or 'More Actions > Burn Image', but in el7/Konq it comes with a Right-click under 'Actions.'   My f23 box isn't running at present...
