installing package glibc-2.23.1-8.fc24.i686 needs 1517MB on the /

installing package compat-libvpx1-1.3.0-4.fc24.i686 needs 1511MB on

Error Summary
-------------
Disk Requirements:
At least 1598MB more space needed on the / filesystem.
Obliviously / is near full.
What I've done on several computers with not enough space in / is to
symlink /var/lib/dnf/system-upgrade to something like
/home/system-upgrade. Then dnf will store all the rpm files there
instead of on the / filesystem and the upgrade process will still work
the same.
