Thank you, Ed. You are (as usual) quite right. I think all that was required to get the program rpmbuild was to dnf-install rpm-build. Sadly, even with this in place, I cannot compile Canon's official driver, which is enormous. The 2000-line process log ends with **Error**: You must have `glib' installed. You can get it from: ftp//ftp.gtk.org/pub/gtk In fact glib (and glib-devel) are installed - I assume glib is not in the expected place. I shall continue to look for a way to compile the Canon program. Meanwhile I have to re-boot into Windows to use this printer. -- Timothy Murphy gayleard /at/ eircom.net School of Mathematics, Trinity College, Dublin -- users mailing list users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: http://fedoraproject.org/code-of-conduct Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines Have a question?
