They should be able to load up the CUPS webpage http://localhost:631/ (or the hostname of the print server instead of localhost), go to the jobs page, and manage their print job(s). As far as I knew, that's how the default installation set things up. Though things can be more of a managing nightmare when you have a central CUPS server, and a variety of clients. You're remote users, in that scenario, and had to manually reconfigure the server to allow remote management. Probably had to ensure that remote users had the same account name and IDs set up on the server system, too. So that remote owner = local owner. If you're doing it some other way, such as a dedicated printing control panel in your desktop, then I would have expected that to work without any fuss.
