My ethernet port has a LAN 192.168.. address, and two IPv6 addresses, one appears to be the same kind of role as 192.168 kind of IPv4 addresses, assigned by my router
I should have been more clear. I'm not referring to the link-local fe80:: address which is used for the default route. The hosts I have on Comcast Business have a /64 address and a /128 address, both within same publicly routed prefix, plus an address in fe80:: used for the default route. On other IPv6 networks, I only see one address in the public prefix, plus the fe80:: address used for the default route.
