Check if the camera is set to present itself as an external drive. Some
devices have a configuration option for this (i.e. a setting on the
device itself). If not, it's probably showing up as an MTP or PTP
device, in which case you can use the simple-mtpfs package to mount it
as a FUSE filesystem.

Before posting I went through the menu
looking for something that might make a
differenc but all the items I found
related to auto focus and such.
I just installed simple-mtpfs and gat
the following:
[root@Box10 bobg]# simple-mtpfs -l
No raw devices found.
[root@Box10 bobg]# simple-mtpfs -l
No raw devices found.
This doesn't look good ...
And df as Jon Ingason suggests:
