Hi Fred, I have already tried that and it does work. My problem is that this way error checking and correction is a bit more clunky (checking that the share is live before trying the copy etc. Using Perl and Net::SCP is very straight forward from the sender end, and error checking is a doddle. This is my usual preferred method, which is why I'm trying that with the Windows box. It does look like I may have to admit defeat and go with the SMB share.
