I've been using it for a good many years as initially it was the only decent IMAP client available (for some values of "decent") and although it has its quirks it's on the whole very stable and well- supported, even if you don't use Gnome, which I don't (I prefer KDE). Plus if you need access to Exchange mailboxes it's really the only game in town on Linux. Not an issue for me but I know a lot of people depend on this. Note that it connects to the gnome-keyring system, which can be an issue if you use SDDM (which doesn't currently support it) so I'm sticking with KDM for now. There are workarounds if don't want to do that, and of course with GDM it Just Works.
