better to automatically generate or modify with other tools
(sed/awk or similar) the data files that gnuplot reads, so
all it's left is the drawing. In other words, figure out
the simplest data file format that gnuplot could use to
draw just the type of chart you want. And then write a
script that reformats your raw data to look that way.
