Allegedly, on or about 17 November 2015, stan sent: > Edit the /boot/grub2/grub.cfg file. > > In the function called load_video, put in the following lines at the > very end of the function. There is a logical branch, and you want > these to apply no matter which branch it takes. > > set gfxmode=1280x720 [or whatever resolution you want] > set gfxpayload=keep > > Then in each kernel stanza, just after the load_video call, put in > set gfxpayload=keep Surely if you've got the instruction in the beginning of the GRUB file, where it pertains to everything, it doesn't need repeating in individual stanzas? Or perhaps the "keep" option *only* belongs in the individual stanzas? Not that /that/ really matters, but inconsistencies in computing really bug me. Things should always work the same way, every time. And they should be logical. > If this works, you'll probably have to redo it after each kernel > install, because it will likely revert to the original configuration. That's what the default templates are for /etc, to re-apply your customisations. -- [tim@localhost ~]$ uname -rsvp Linux 3.9.10-100.fc17.x86_64 #1 SMP Sun Jul 14 01:31:27 UTC 2013 x86_64 All mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted, there is no point trying to privately email me, I will only read messages posted to the public lists.
