New clean install ofF22, started under either gnome or kde. Using konqueror and/or dolphin for file browsing. My file browsers will hang for extended intervals, then will work fine for a while, then hang again. When hung, the window can be dragged around the desktop, but nothing within the window responds to mouse clicks. I prefer konqueror but when it hangs (and all instances of konqueror will eventually hang once one does) I've started a dolphin window and that will work for a while then it also hangs. My setup for F22 is pretty much identical to what I've been using for F20 for some time. Within F20 this has never happened, and in fact I am forced to continue using F20 to get anything done. I suspect samba since most of my storage is in a Win7 box, but when the file browsers are hung, I can usually still access the win7 shares from a cmdline. Filesystems shared from linux can be accessed from the Win7 box. It doesn't seem to be a basic resource issue - cpu usage is low, real memory is available and most of swap is unused, no disc activity is apparent, other tools still work, such as gvim, system monitor, hexchat and konsole windows. Selinux is permissive and disabling firewalld does not help. F22 is up to date. One other oddity I've noticed is that after initiating a restart from F22 it will hang during the shutdown at some point for an indeterminate period of time before continuing. This never happens after initiating a restart from F20. any suggestions for troubleshooting? -- users mailing list users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Fedora Code of Conduct: http://fedoraproject.org/code-of-conduct Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines Have a question?
