Yes,

I did:
setfacl -m u:amsterdam:r out.pdf

but masterdam cannot access to the file:

ls /home/pdupre/out.pdf
ls: cannot access /home/pdupre/out.pdf: Permission denied
or
I/O Error: Couldn't open file '/home/pdupre/out.pdf'
