I would like to use gmail.com via Thunderbird but nothing I have tried on their page seems to fix things. "Get Messages" results in the following message"

My password, etc, work as expected on the gmail "web mail" page, I can send and receive, however that's not what I want, I prefer to use Thunderbird.
Perhaps someone else has been though this and can tell me what needs to be done?
