Searching in the manual page would have lead to something.
Else, simple testing (such as deleting/moving a file in there).

$ rpm -qd dnf
/usr/share/doc/dnf/AUTHORS
/usr/share/doc/dnf/COPYING
/usr/share/doc/dnf/PACKAGE-LICENSING
/usr/share/doc/dnf/README.rst
/usr/share/man/man8/dnf.8.gz
/usr/share/man/man8/yum2dnf.8.gz

$ man dnf|grep -A2 FILES
CONFIGURATION FILES REPLACEMENT POLICY
       The updated packages could replace the old modified configuration files
       with  the  new  ones  or keep the older files. Neither of the files are
--
FILES
       /var/cache/dnf /etc/dnf/dnf.conf /etc/yum.repos.d/
