Some links to such "recent" books would be appreciated.
Google is returning way too many links and very hard
to sift through.
Have you tried looking at Amazon or Barns & Noble?
I have used amazon before, and as I had found, most
of the books are on rather old and dated versions, or too
topical:
for example
Linux Kernel Development (3rd Edition), Jul 2, 2010
Professional Linux Kernel Architecture Oct 13, 2008
Understanding the Linux Kernel, Third Edition Nov 2005
Linux Kernel Development (2nd Edition) Jan 22, 2005
Linux Kernel Development Sep 8, 2003
There is something recent, like
The Art of Linux Kernel Design: Illustrating the Operating System Design
Principle and Implementation Apr 1, 2014
but it seems too topical, and doe not expose the algorithms in a way
that someone can use to look at the source code and follow
the explanation.
Ditto with:
An Introduction to Operating Systems: Concepts and Practice (GNU/LINUX),
Mar 30, 2014
There is:
Operating Systems: Principles and Practice Aug 21, 2014
but it as nothing explicitly to do with the Linux Kernel.
